In late June 2019, Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation and FLOATS (Floating Laboratory for Action and Theory at Sea) held a three-day working meeting to discuss the possibility of co-organizing a Summer School of the Seas, combining pedagogies of marine conservation and maritime social sciences.
